Relationship Counselling FAQs
Individual sessions start at $160 (plus GST) per 50-minute session. Payments can be made by credit card or e-transfer.
The length of counselling varies among individuals. Individuals with specific concerns may need fewer sessions, but achieving lasting change often requires a minimum of 6 months of therapy.
It's normal to feel strong emotions when discussing tough topics or trying new behaviours, particularly if it's your first time in therapy. We aim to prevent things from spiralling and prioritize your emotional safety during our sessions.
We are conveniently located at 214-525 Seymour Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 3H6. The office is in the Seymour Building. It’s easily accessible by bus and Skytrain. Street and paid parking can be found nearby.
Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes. Longer sessions can be made available upon request.
We use evidence-based counselling methods like EMDR therapy, Client-Centered and Emotion Focused Therapy. Our approach is trauma-informed, focusing on emotions and attachment. We understand how early relationships shape adult dynamics and use emotions to break through stuck patterns, guiding understanding and healing.
Yes, we offer premarital counselling. We believe in early intervention, as it has the highest success rate in couples therapy. Our services are tailored to your relationship stage and unique goals.
Relationship Counselling is for individuals aiming to work on themselves, whether it's addressing past relationships, understanding baggage and patterns, or seeking support for a current relationship without their partner. Couples Counselling is for committed partners working on their relationship together.
Relationship therapy and relationship counselling are often used interchangeably.
