Reflecting on my wedding day this past Spring, I can’t help but think about how much I wish I could go back and give myself the advice I’ve since learned. The wedding itself was beautiful, but leading up to the big day and some unexpected challenges made it tough to stay fully present and enjoy every moment.
Key Insight
The most important lesson I learned is that the wedding day is just one piece of the puzzle. What really matters is the fact that you’re getting married and the life you’re building together. The celebration is special, but it’s the marriage that will last long after the cake is eaten and the guests have gone home.
Personal Experience
As someone who’s worked with couples in the early stages of their relationship—whether engaged, newly married, or living together—I’ve seen firsthand how easy it is to get caught up in the details. But keeping the bigger picture in mind and remembering what truly matters can help you both stay grounded and connected during the planning process.
