How can I benefit from attending counselling?

How many sessions will I need?
The length of counselling can vary significantly from person-to-person. Usually the first 2-4 sessions will be spent getting to know one another, building trust, and establishing goals for the things you hope to accomplish in therapy. While individuals looking to work on a specific issue may only require 6-8 sessions, it usually takes a minimum of 6 months of therapy for long-standing change to occur.
What is your cancellation policy?
As your appointment time is held specifically for you 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations. Cancellations or requests to reschedule that are made without 48 hours notice will be charged the full session fee.

What safety precautions are you taking during COVID-19?
In light of the COVID-19 public health crisis, the following measures and precautions have been put in place to ensure your safety, and help slow the spread of COVID-19. These guidelines are in accordance with WorkSafeBC directions, as approved by our Provincial Health Officer.
- Having clients wait outside until just before their appointment, or they are called in
- Staggering appointments to sanitize surfaces in-between sessions, and minimize contact with others
- Providing hand sanitizer to clients when they come into the office
- Restricting physical contact
- Ensuring frequent trash disposal
- Disinfecting common areas at the end of each day
- Avoiding cash payments and signatures on Square reader
- Avoiding in-person signatures by asking clients to fill out forms online
